Treacle Tart

Buy a pastry case – life’s too short!

400g Golden syrup

A ball of Stem ginger (to taste) – finely chopped

Zest of 1 lemon

2 eggs – lightly beaten

100g white breadcrumbs

Whisk gentle to mix together

Pour the mixture into the pastry case and cook for 35-40 minutes at 140 C until set

Cool for 20 minutes in the oven with the door open
